# Chat thread

Chat thread: a free component, built on your design tokens, to use in a messaging or social app, for a private conversation. A one-to-one message thread with the other person's photo: bubbles on both sides grouped into runs, a quoted reply, a heart reaction, a read receipt, a typing indicator and a composer with attach and send that adds your message.
